PERSONALITY   In years past, Lysandre was known for his generosity and willingness to help those less fortunate. He funded research laboratories, pokémon centers, and gave much of his wealth to charities over the years. Taking those less fortunate in and helping ensure their success was a regular occurrence, and many who joined what would become Team Flare had their schooling and necessities funded by Lysandre.In recent years, his good nature has seen a downward spiral, leading many to believe that his good intentions have become muddied with a 'the ends will justify the means' reasoning. While still he shows genuine care for the world, humanity, and pokémon, the way he shows it has become somewhat disillusioned and violent. Many close to him have commented on his sudden change, but none seem to know the true source of the behavior.

Lysandre was born into money. Noble blood, royal blood, he says, is the source of his family's fortune. Raised on an estate outside of Lumiose City alongside his three sisters, he was given access to well-trained tutors and teachers, eventually using some of his family's money to fund his early acceptance into a track that guaranteed his study of both pokémon and technology. He moved swiftly through classes, showing promise even as a young man - his noble heritage may have afforded him the means to get accepted, but it was his own talent and skill that propelled him forward.Once through that era of his life, his early career was spent creating what would eventually become his Holo-caster technology. His first foray was into the early smartphone industry and helped pave the way for other companies to eventually begin creating rotomphones as well as pokédex technology.On the other side of his study into pokémon biology and their interactions with humans, he met the man who would later become the head professor of the Kalos region, Augustine Sycamore. The two remained close for many years, even after Lysandre left his laboratory to create his own. Lysandre credits much of his early pokémon study to Augustine's tutelage.His café opened soon after, more as a means for him to socialize with others, as well as an outlet for his passion for Kalosian food and coffee. It is there where he would meet with other wealthy Kalosians and convince them to share in his philanthropic ways. The café would remain a steady part of his life for many years until its eventual shuttering with the fall of Team Flare.Team Flare - an organization that started first as a way for Lysandre to help the less fortunate. Just because he was afforded ease in his early life didn't mean others had it, and he intended to change that. Alongside trying to develop cheaper, more accessible technology, the early days of Team Flare were ways to help promising young students and eager scientists onto their career paths. He launched several young businesses that are still thriving, helped pull a good number of those without housing into places they could find shelter and those to rely on. Many of these young adults would become members of his higher ranking admins, or close confidants he would share early intel with.One of Flare's later discoveries of the stones in Geosenge shifted their goals - still they helped those who asked, but Lysandre devoted himself further to uncovering the secrets of Geosenge which would ultimately begin his downward spiral. Obsessed with the idea of legendary pokémon that could give and take life, he changed from seeing the world as a place to offer a helping hand to seeing the world as something broken beyond repair. The only way to solve its issues would be to hard reset the world - even at the cost of life, both human and pokémon.Lysandre's slow descent into becoming more and more violent until his attempt to fire the Ultimate Weapon is thwarted by the group of friends Sycamore entrusted with starter pokémon.Both Xerneas and Yveltal were in his possession until they turned against him, allied themselves with Sycamore's students, ruined his secret laboratory, and buried him underneath it.Or so people thought.

PLZALysandre, having lost his memories in the wreckage of Geosenge, was saved by Zygarde and led to collect its cells across the region. While few of his memories are returning, he still does not recall the extent of his actions. He has, however, made peace with AZ, and since his passing, has become content to live out his own similar lengthened lifespan simply helping others. Here and there, he will recover a memory, see a familiar face, or feel a twinge of guilt at seeing a familiar sight. Only time will tell how he fares with each new discovery of his past.
